There are three things I’m sharing with you today-things I’m doing to embrace fall.
Things I’m Doing to Embrace Fall
Oh, how we love fall!!! That time when the weather gets a bit cooler, the days get shorter, and everything turns orange and brown… Two of my favorite colors. The three things that I am doing to embrace fall are growing my very short hair out, eating two fast super healthy recipes, and practicing Words of Wisdom each day.
Things I’m Doing to Embrace Fall
Growing my hair again. For those of us that are over 50, we know the feeling. Thinning hair-we dread it, and it creeps up on us. I’ve always had long red hair; until I turned 60. I saw myself from the back in a video recently. I was mortified. I decided to get it cut short. Only after 1 year, I was ready to grow it back into a bob. That has been a challenge. Hop over to my recent Instagram post and check out my post about how to stay sane while growing your hair out.
Two tips that I can share with you to keep your hair looking and feeling fabulous are 1) Shampoo every other day or if you can stand it, every 3 days and don’t apply any heat. Let it dry naturally. 2) Sleep on a soft silky pillow, like this one here: https://go.shopmy.us/p-27085936

Two simple and fast healthy fall recipes: 1) Chocolate coffee 2) Roasted Kale. Two of the most powerful antioxidant-based recipes that you can prepare in a flash!
Things I’m Doing to Embrace Fall
Chocolate coffee: Simply make your favorite cup of coffee and add a small square of 90% chocolate bar. You get a boost of antioxidants from the cocoa and a warm flavor from the chocolate bar. Yummy!
For the Kale, cut it into 1-inch squares. Make sure to remove the tough ribs in the middle. Place on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper over it. Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Viola!!! Easy peasy…

Words of Wisdom! We all need to boost our positivity and creativity each day. I took this seriously in June and am doing a daily positivity practice. Once you try it, there’s no going back. Here are a few simple positive prompts:
- Be curious-this childlike behavior has been linked to longevity.
- Exercise a sense of wonder. This creates a childlike sense of curiosity.
- Do…do…do…then re-do. Keep the course and momentum up. It’s been proved to boost of sense of self-respect.
- Laugh at yourself at least 3 times a day. Taking ourselves too seriously can lead to worry and unnecessary stress.

I love these inspirational coffee mugs. I make my chocolate coffee and practice a little Words of Wisdom.
Thank you so much for spending your valuable time here with me. Until next time. We’ll talk about how to make an easy reading nook in your home along with two of my favorite reads this fall.
Warmest wishes,
